For those purchasing a flat or a small house, we can help. We will produce at moderate cost a full RICS template style Homebuyer’s Survey and Valuation (HSV) of the property, securing your peace of mind as you move forward with your investment decision.
In addition to the standard RICS information included, the detailed colour photographs in our reports help to interpret our recommendations. This type of homebuyer report is designed for conventional normal properties built within the last 150 years and focuses on identifying any serious or urgent matters.
Housebuyers Report - Standard RICS information
- The property’s general condition and open market value.
- Any major faults in accessible parts of the property.
- Urgent matters that need accessing before exchanging contracts including recommendations for any further specialist inspections.
- Hazardous materials
- Results of any testing of walls for damp and wood for rot.
- Comments on the existence and condition of damp-proofing and insulation (drains are not tested).
- The recommended costs of re-constructing a building in the event of damage (such as fire) for insurance purposes.
We also include photographs as standard in your HSV.
